Reflections - Outreach

Unbelievably it's been almost three weeks since returning to Lausanne after outreach, and it's been two weeks exactly since DTS ended.

Outreach.

What an amazing two months. Being incredibly intentional in every moment of the day. Some people on my team liked to say: "The days are long, but the time is short." It rang so true in all the days of ministry. From speaking at churches, teaching in Sunday school, giving life lessons in school, doing activities in orphanages, visiting refugee homes, to teaching English at a community development center the days were full. But now looking back at that time it's almost three weeks behind me, it went by fast. Through the full days and spending every amount of energy on serving others the whole team was able to find that even if you think you are at the end of being able to love, God can fill you up even more.

One of the biggest things I found was how to choose joy in every situation through the two months. Persevering and choosing to love even if I didn't feel like it on the hard days resulted in joy in the end.

I'm so excited to share in person when I return home all that God did during outreach and be able to share more details. If you want to meet please let me know!
