Because of the multicultural community here in YWAM Lausanne, we get to celebrate more holidays than I'm used to in the states. Back on January 28th, we celebrated Lunar New Year! There are many Korean students and staff here and they organized activities and cooked amazing food for the evening. We learned a traditional bow to honor our elders, and played some Korean games. For many families in the states Thanksgiving is a big holiday where the whole family gathers, Lunar New Year is similar to people from Asian cultures. For the day people spend time with their families, and eat lots of food. One of my favorite things about living in a multicultural community is experiencing events like these to learn more about culture and eat good food..
